Zonenine Films is a spin off from it's
signatory company, GID Productions, Inc. GID Productions executive
produced the successful film "Bullhead" in the late nineties. Bullhead
was distributed by Landmark Theaters and ran in Seattle, Denver and
Houston for several months.
Bullhead also received the Audience Award at the Hermosa Beach Film Festival.
Zonenine
Films was founded by Christopher Harrington, President of GID
Productions, and Christina Laughlin, his life partner of 12 years.
Christina and Chris realized that in today's Independent Film Community
one of the most difficult pieces of the film development puzzle is to
find and acquire high quality content. Christopher defined it simply
as, "...screenplays that are very well structured and have a unique
vision within the actual poignant and inspiring tale. Christina and I
know there are some incredible story tellers out there that just simply
haven't gotten the opportunity to see their vision move on to the next
stage. We are determined to create a platform from which talented and
passionate writers as well as filmmakers can develop, produce and
distribute moving and life giving stories. Motion pictures are
incredibly powerful forms of communication that can help educate and
give communities a playground to relive or re-experience those emotions
that make us feel alive."
Zonenine
Films' last project was a 6 part digital comedy mini series entitled, "The Best
Man?" Zonenine Films believes that the online outlet is going to be a
major revenue generator for the professional Independent Filmmaker and
wanted to jump in head first to educate themselves on what they refer
to as "a different craft".
"The Best Man?" received a nomination for
'Best Screenplay' in the Pixie Awards and was distributed on "Total Movie DVD".
In real-time, Zonenine Films is developing 6 different television
shows. Please check out some of our sizzle reels below!
